Children's Special Events

St. Matthew's offers special children's events throughout the year to help them celebrate faith and love. Some of our bigger events include:

Children's Sabbath: One Sunday in October is set aside to call attention to the gifts and needs of all children around the world.

Advent Celebration: Families enjoy an evening of dinner, holiday crafts and advent wreath making. Always an energetic, fun way to kick off the Advent season.

Mardi Gras Parade: Kids are invited to enter our parade of Biblical floats. Dress up as your favorite Bible character or story and grab your wagon/float (clean wheels, please). After dinner we'll enjoy our parade of floats led by our own Mardi Gras band. Join this fun fellowship!

Easter Egg Hunt: The annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on the day before Easter. On Saturday at 10 AM, kids come for a time of songs, egg hunting, crafts, outdoor games and more! What a joyous time and celebration during the Easter season.

Club 56: New youth group meetings bring together fifth and sixth graders in a social environment focused on mission work.  Club 56 helps to prepare fifth and sith graders for the jump into St. Matthew’s junior high youth group program, which starts at seventh grade. For a list of Club 56 events, see the
Children's Sunday School page.  To get on the Club 56 e-mail list, contact Tina Dec.

For more information on upcoming children's events, contact the Church Office.
