In-House Registration has begun!!

The Weekday School is so excited about our new initiatives for the next school year and we wanted to make sure you are aware of the process of registration. We are looking forward to all the possibilities and wanted to communicate the way in which enrollment will be processed.

Mark your calendars for January 9, 2018 this begins the In-House enrollment. This includes current and former Weekday School families; as well as St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church members. In- House Registration will end on February 6, 2018. During this timeframe you will need to submit an electronic application, registration fee, and activity fee to hold your child’s place in their class of your preference. No paper forms will be accepted. The submission of forms are time stamped. We will check daily during this time to ensure that you are notified if a class becomes full. If a class is deemed full you will be provided with the availability of classes within your age range and/or option of the waitlist. There will be no need to physically line up for registration.  You will only be contacted if a class is full.

General registration begins on February 7, 2018. From this date forward enrollment will be open to the public. Please reference the chart below for fees associated with registration.

All monthly fees are due on the first of each month, October through April. Please note that September’s tuition is due by the first day of school.  The May 2020 tuition is collected a year in advance (by May 2019) and is non-refundable.

A 10% discount is given to families with more than one child enrolled in the Weekday School.  The discount is applied to the younger student’s tuition. 

Registration

In order to register for a class at St. Matthew’s Weekday School, you must complete and turn in the following forms:

Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form, all parts including the Health Information Form, Certification of Immunization, and Comprehensive Physical Examination Report.  If your child has an allergy, especially a food allergy, then please be sure to have your physician complete an Allergy Action Plan.

Additionally, you must bring in your child’s original birth certificate so that it can be copied for his or her file.  The enrollment fee and the last month’s tuition is due at the time of registration.

SMUMC WDS Scholarship Form, The St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church Weekday School Board and Director review all applications and, with the St. Matthew’s UMC Legacy Committee, determine scholarship recipients and amounts. The scholarship is available throughout  the school year and is available due to various circumstances and financial hardships.

Summer Camp Registration Summer camp has two sessions available starting June 4th- 8th & June 11th-15th. Each session is $160 per child. No sibling discount is given. There are 8 teachers that coordinate and plan fun activities throughout the week. Forms can be completed online. Please submit payment in person or via- mail. Please notify us if you are mailing in a check for payment. More information to come!

Our Read-A-Thon was a tremendous success thanks to your overwhelming support!  Because this fundraiser was so successful, we are able to purchase wish list books for our classrooms and school library as well as applying a portion to our playground refurbishment.

Scholastic Reading Club – Each month, your student will receive a book order form.  Orders can be placed online at the linked website.  First time users will click on the “Connect to Your Teacher” link.  Please note that our school’s class code is QFH8B.  When you enter this code, you will find that the director’s name will appear.  Click yes on “Is this your teacher?”  At this point, you’ll create an account that can be used for all future purchases.  Purchases made online must be paid with a credit card.  Physical order forms can be sent to school with your child along with payment in the form of a check made out to “Scholastic” or cash.  Every purchase helps the school to expand the resources available to all classrooms.

Certifikid – Please visit Certifikid’s website and use promo code SMWDS at checkout.  Certifikid is a website where you can purchase kid-friendly discounted fall classes, entertainment, unique gifts, restaurants, fall festivals, holiday shows and more.  When you use our school’s code, you’ll receive an extra $5 off your purchase of $30 or more and our school receives $5 as well.

Thank you for supporting our Claire’s Gourmet fundraiser!  The money raised from purchasing gourmet goodies was spent on playground refurbishment.
