At St. Matthew's, Communion is open to everyone, of any age. All who love Christ, who repent of their sin, and who seek to live in peace with one another are invited to Christ's table. You do not have to be a church member to participate.
Communion at St. Matthew's is served usually by intinction at the altar rail. You will be given a small piece of bread to dip into a glass of grape juice. Special cornmeal bread is available for those with wheat allergies.
Those who commune are welcome to spend a few moments in prayer at the altar rail or return to their seats after they partake of the elements.
Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month at all three worship services.
