The mission of Children’s Ministries at St. Matthew’s is to nurture children in their faith in Christ.

We do this by…

Providing meaningful opportunities for children and their families to grow in their faith, their relationship to one another, and to our church.

Empowering children to share their faith in their daily lives through love and service to others.

Bringing Christ’s love and the love of St. Matthew’s to children in need.

Deep Blue Promo FINAL PSDFor children 18 months to 6th grade.  Deep Blue is a weekly adventure through the Bible!  With Deep Blue, children will make Bible stories, Bible people, and Bible passages a part of their lives.  They will also come to know the Bible as their book and find ways to let the Bible speak to them today.  Deep Blue incorporates Bible stories, science activities, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games into a lived-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus today!

Other Activities

Club 56 (One Sunday a Month)

Club 56 is the 5th and 6th grade fellowship & mission group that meets once a month for events and activities. It is a great opportunity for children to build relationships with other students their age, to live out their faith in the community, and to prepare for entering youth group in 7th grade. Friends are always welcome to join the fun–please ask all guests to bring in a completed permission form.

Club 56 kickoff is Sunday, September 29, starting in the fellowship hall with lunch for students AND parents. Following lunch, there will be a brief parent meeting where you can find out what there is to look forward to and how you can help make the program a success. Students will then head out to Burke Racquet Club to climb. Cost for rock climbing is $25/person. Please RSVP for this event using the sign up genius link: here.

For kickoff, a club 56 permission form is needed, and can be found here.

Additionally a rock climbing waiver will be needed. That form can be found here.

A calendar of events for the year can be found here.
