Remembering our Blessings
At St. Matthew's, November’s worship services each have a specific focus that is relevant to our lives, joy-filled, and
thoughtful. We begin by remembering the saints in our lives and then recognize those in the armed
forces who serve so faithfully. Mid-month we celebrate children, and our guest speakers will lead us in reflecting
on the needs of children. The month concludes with the beginning of our Advent season
where our theme is “Come to the Manger.”
As people of God, we give thanks each and every day, and these services
lead us to reflect on our life of giving thanks. God is calling each of us to come. We look forward to seeing you in worship and ask that you invite a friend.
Connect with God Through Worship
Terry Virgo writes, “Worship is a fresh opportunity to get to know God. We can grow in faith as we declare glorious truth about Him and to Him. It is the truth that sets us free and truth sung with faith and in the power of the Spirit can have a mighty, liberating effect upon us. Worship must be in Spirit as well as in truth, and we should expect our emotions to be roused.”
As we gather this weekend, let us be open to the wonderment of God’s revelation in our prayers and praise. Hear more about this weekend's worship services and classes from St. Matthew's pastors in their weekly message.
